Dr. Parmanand N. Jain
Pain & Palliative Medicine Physician
Who is Dr. Jain?
Three decades of expertise. A career dedicated to pain relief.
For more than three decades, Dr. Parmanand N. Jain has worked in pain and palliative medicine — most of it at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India’s premier cancer centre, where he built and led cancer pain services as Professor & Head of the Division of Pain.
His clinical focus is cancer pain: complex, changing pain that needs careful assessment, medicines used precisely, and interventional procedures when they genuinely help. Alongside patient care he has taught and trained a generation of Indian pain physicians and helped shape national cancer pain guidelines.
Today he consults in Mumbai, seeing patients from Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, across India and abroad for cancer pain, interventional pain procedures, neuropathic pain and palliative care.

Pain is never only physical. Every consultation begins with listening — to the pain, to what it has taken away, and to what matters most to the patient and family. Treatment is then built around that: medicines used precisely, interventional procedures when they genuinely help, and palliative support for comfort, dignity and better function.
